Persabus
Farm Branding

An identity rooted in heritage for a farm, café and pottery studio on the Isle of Islay.
Challenge
Persabus is a working farm on the west coast of Scotland, run by the Fletcher family for over 100 years. In recent decades, the site has expanded to include holiday cottages, a pottery studio, and a café making it a popular destination. The owners approached me to help create a brand identity that honoured the farm’s history while giving their offering a cohesive visual identity.

Approach

I began by researching the site’s history, exploring old photographs and memorabilia shared by the family. The Highland cow, a longstanding symbol of the farm, became the centrepiece of the logo. To give it a timeless feel, I developed a badge-style emblem using detailed linework, paired with typography and a colour palette inspired by the Scottish flag and rural craft.
My Role
I created the full identity and supporting applications, including custom mugs for the cottages, menus for the café, gift bags for the pottery studio, and brand assets for use across digital and print touchpoints.
Outcome
The branding has been warmly received by both the family and their guests, helping to tie together the various elements of the farm under one clear visual system. The logo is now in use across the Persabus website, signage, and merchandise offering a consistent and characterful brand presence.
